Transferring a Domain to Get Started

You can easily transfer a domain name to Get Started online via the GS Client Area.

Make sure "I want to transfer my domain to Get Started" is selected, then enter the domain you wish to transfer in the provided text box. Click the Check Availability button to confirm the domain can be transferred. Once the page has reloaded, click the Add to Cart button to continue.

In order to transfer a domain name, you need an authorisation code - also known as an authpass, or EPP Code. If you do not have this, you can retrieve it from your current domain registrar. If the domain is a .COM.AU domain, you can have the EPP code automatically sent to the registrant contact address by clicking here. If you cannot retrieve your authorisation password for a domain, email [email protected] to see if we can give you a hand, or point you in the right direction.

You can also add hosting packages to the domain at this stage by clicking the link next to the domain you wish to edit as well as edit the nameservers for the domain, if you so wish. By default, new domains will use our nameservers for hosting on our network.

Once the order has been completed, you will receive an email confirmation containing the information you need to proceed.

If you are not too comfortable using the online tools, we have some forms you can complete and return to us - you can email it through to [email protected], or fax the form to 1300 554 892.

Alternatively, you can always call us and we will be happy to walk you through what is needed.
